Dear NBCC Members: This is your invitation to celebrate Neurodiversity Pride 2024!
We are delighted to invite you and/or your organisation to participate in the 7th edition of Neurodiversity Pride Day, the annual day of pride for all neurodivergent individuals and their allies worldwide!
This year, we are celebrating in 12 countries during the 7th official Neurodiversity Pride Day on June 16th 2024, organized for & by the neurodivergent community, the ND Pride Team of volunteers & the Neurodiversity Foundation. Additionally, many neuro-inclusive organisations and ND advocates are hosting various activities in the period we call ND Pride Week from June 10th - 17th.
Find ways to participate for non-profit organisations, for profit companies, for neurodivergent individuals and friends on the activities page.
In the Netherlands, there will be events in over 15 cities, like Leiden, Groningen, Amstelveen and Den Haag and the day was recently endorsed by Dutch Health minister Helder and officially recognized in New York, an example we hope other cities will follow.
In the United Kingdom there will be a big live event in London on the 13th of June with multiple choirs and speakers like Leanne Maskell on the 13th in the University of Westminster. In Lincoln there will also be a live event on the 22nd with speaker Pete Wharmsby.
You can organize your own private events, or add your event to the calendar if public access is free, use the social media pack or logos on the resources page to share support on social media, or hoist a ND Pride Day flag to celebrate neurodivergent uniqueness and the value of neurodiversity for society and your organisation. Although many fun activities and interesting events are organized around the world, the real core of the day is the tradition for neurodivergent individuals to “take a moment” (a minute, an hour, perhaps even longer) to reflect on what they are proud of as neurodivergents, in harmony and self-acceptance of all their differences. And for the 'allies' (family members, friends, partners, colleagues, neuroinclusive organisations & companies, team members) to encourage and reflect on what they appreciate about their favourite neurodivergent(s).
The Neurodiversity Foundation, welcomes and invites all NBCC members, to join in celebrating Neurodiversity Pride 2024.
